Epsilon Pi Homecoming 2023
It was a glorious fall day 'mid the pines as nearly 200 EPs and their families visited the EP Homecoming Hospitality Tent and were treated to fresh grilled burgers and sausages prepared by John Miller and Scott Mossgrove and funded by sixteen generous EP Alumni sponsors, including Navy Blue & Gold Sponsors Paul Lange, Jeff Burd, Dave Mannion, Jack Kopnisky, and Craig Campbell plus Platinum sponsors Mike Zellers and Don Feather.
Meanwhile, out on Thorn Field the Wolverines (led by several EPs) rallied to beat the W&J Presidents 31-24 to move to 5-0 on the season and sole possession of first place in the PAC. Grove City trailed 24-17 entering the fourth quarter but surged ahead as (EP) quarterback Logan "Mojo" Pfeuffer fired a pair of TD passes. Earlier (EP) running back Clayton Parrish bowled in for a TD (a couple hours after admiring old photos of EPs in the Tent). Defensive end (EP) Bryce Spolnik caused a huge 4th quarter fumble and joined (EP) linebacker Ryan Fleming with each producing 2 tackles for loss. GCC now ranked 23rd in the nation!
In other EP sports news, Dave Mannion organized a golf outing on Friday for 5 alumni foursomes at Grove City Country Club. Todd Powless, Doc Ellis, Joe Zsolcak, and Buck Buchanan were the winners at 11 under.
On Saturday evening nearly 100 (EPs and guests) enjoyed drinks, dinner and an upbeat program featuring two memorable presentations. Each EP alumnus received an EP engraved cocktail glass from the EPAA. Special thanks to Jeff Burd for arranging Homecoming Dinner.
Homecoming Dinner guests were treated to the world premiere of the Epsilon Pi 104th Homecoming Documentary created by David Auker (1983), Aaron Phillips, and Ayden Gutierrez (both Dec 2023). You can view it on the Epsilon Pi website via the link below or (Twitter) X site.
Following the standing ovation for the EP Documentary, EP Alumni surprised each Active with a vintage EP jacket. Each Active was called to the front and presented and fitted into their EP jacket by an esteemed EP alumnus. All of the alumni, newly jacketed Actives, and our guests then circled up for a rousing rendition of the Loving Cup.

EPAA Board: The EPAA Board added Dane Mossgrove (2016) and Kyle Heim (2022) to foster greater engagement with recent grads.

EPAA scholarship funds have awarded over $300,000 since inception, including more than $42,000 for 2022-2023.
EPAA Newsletter - During the Homecoming invocation by EP Chaplain Aaron Phillips asked for prayers for any brothers and their families, which then included Mark Smith (1983), Ralph Carlson (1962), and EP Active Max Muncy, who is scheduled for back surgery in late October. And we'll extend that practice through this Newsletter going forward.
On a lighter note, we'd also like to add (thanks Mike Bartoo) an opportunity for "Congratulations" as was common at the end of EP Frat Meetings back in the day. EP Congratulations vary from the sincere to the absurd and you may have to decipher what comes forward.
