Brothers Working for the Good of All

Homecoming 2022

Grove City Homecoming was celebrated on September 30-October 1, 2022. Five groups of EPAA golfers kicked off the weekend on Friday at Grove City Country Club. Another great crowd met up at the EPAA tent, where we hosted lunch during the football game. (That came in handy during the halftime rain showers). Alumni met for dinner Saturday evening at the Doubletree Hotel in Cranberry. Mark your calendars for September 29-October 1, 2023 for next year's Homecoming. Classes ending in 3 and 8 will have milestone anniversaries, so start working on getting our brothers together now. Below: Golfers and 19th hole attendees from four decades gather after playing on September 30.

A group of the dinner guests from Saturday night had trouble with the smile/don't smile instructions.

Website Update Thanks to the efforts of Justin DeMild '24 and Nate Herring '85, the EPAA website has undergone a complete overhaul. There are still functions being added to the site so that alumni can enjoy perusing old documents and photos, and get better connected with other EP alumni, but the site is active now:

Alumni Golf It's never too early to plan for a round of golf with your brothers. The annual golf outing will be held at Grove City Country Club on July 22, with shotgun start early afternoon and dinner afterwards. More details to follow. Mark your calendar and assemble your foursome.

EPAA Scholarship Funds The generosity of EP Alumni continues to reach new heights. For the 2022-2023 academic year, scholarships totaling $41,100 were awarded to 12 active EPs. That's an amount that is greater than the total fund balance of any other frat or sorority. There were more than $33,000 in gifts made during the past year, bringing the total to $670,000 in gifts received by EP alumni since the founding of the Guthrie Scholarship Funds and $266,000 in cumulative scholarship awards have been made. For more information about the EPAA scholarships, contact Drew McCandless. To donate go to the GCC scholarship donation main page, choose "Click to see more giving opportunities" and scroll down to the EPAA scholarships to designate your gift.

Actives Update Those who attended homecoming may have noticed the absence of undergrads wearing EP garb. That is the result of the fraternity's loss of recognition for having a party near the end of the 2022 school year. The reports from the college and the fraternity president are that the actives are handling the discipline admirably and reinstatement is expected during the second semester.
